HelpLine Program
Working to reduce the
number of uninsured in our communities...The need to develop our citizens into more informed
healthcare consumers and improve their quality of life through
healthier lifestyles has been recognized at the national and
state level as being a high priority.
Access
Coordinators and trained SHIBA volunteers offer the following
free services to help patients and their families navigate the
healthcare system:
Insurance
Programs & Benefits
- Easy-to-understand
and impartial information to help clients access and
maintain health insurance coverage.
- Free
counseling and help completing paperwork from our
well-trained volunteers and experienced Access
Coordinators.
- Assistance
with enrollment in Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance
Plan (CHIP), Basic Health and other state and
federal insurance programs
Community Choice provides the Sponsor
function of coordinating a SHIBA HelpLine volunteer program in
Chelan,
Douglas,
Okanogan, Grant and Adams Counties.
We provide relevant outreach and
education services in Spanish and English.
Regional Access Program (RAP)
Our RAP services are FREE,
unbiased and confidential

Our Access Coordinators can help anyone...
• apply for free or low-cost insurance - Medicaid/Healthy

in North Central Washington
• navigate our healthcare system more effectively
• better understand your options for accessing healthcare in
your community
Do you need health insurance or prenatal care? If you are
pregnant, you want to be sure you and your baby are healthy.
We can help you:
• Apply for quality health insurance you can afford
• Find a doctor, midwife or nurse
• Find pregnancy testing, prenatal care or maternity support
services
• Find family planning or birth control information
Pregnant women may be eligible for free health insurance
through the First Steps Program.
